Following is an excerpt from the book, Trainers in Motion, by Jim Vidakovich
The room is alive with color charts—participants have created an expectations map of objectives to be accomplished by the end of the session—the facilitator “works the room,” moves among the group—there is interaction and discussion at the different table teams dealing with real work situations that have been raised by attendees—the facilitator provides information and relates knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA) to apply back on the job—the trainer facilitates discussion and sets up time for debriefing of activities—movement is incorporated into a lot of the activities—table teams are changed—participants work on flip charts (brainwriting)—if a video is used, there are “pause” breaks to discuss content—the room is alive with energy-generated learning!
