Enriching Lives through Online Training

(from The Greatest Salesman in the World, by Og Mandino)

If you persist you will succeed … so persist UNTIL you succeed! The following excerpt is entitled “The Scroll Marked III” from the above book --

I will persist until I succeed.
I was not delivered into this world in defeat, nor does failure course in my veins. I am not a sheep waiting to be prodded by my shepherd. I am a lion and I refuse to talk, to walk, to sleep with the sheep. I will hear not those who weep and complain, for their disease is contagious. Let them join the sheep. The slaughterhouse of failure is not my destiny…

Nor will I allow yesterday’s success to lull me into today’s complacency, for this it the great foundation of failure. I will forget the happenings of the day that is gone, whether they were good or bad, and greet the new sun with confidence that this will be the best day of my life.

So long as there is breath in me, that long will I persist. For now I know one of the greatest principles of success: if I persist long enough, I will win.

I will persist.
I will win [succeed].

A few comments … We will succeed if we persist in doing the RIGHT things. This is where learning and education come in (including mentoring from one who has had experience). There is a saying, “Practice makes perfect.” However, a more accurate saying is, “Perfect practice makes perfect.” (perfect practice being practicing the right things … those things that will get you closer to your objective) Another point: Don’t forget the good happenings of the day(s) before … they will be a source of power and confidence as you proceed forward into this day! And picture in your mind those things you’ve planned to do … visualize their successful completion as the prelude to taking that action that will make them so.
