Enriching Lives through Online Training

In my scripture reading, three things really struck me the other morning (& the past week) – (1) the power of the word of God … and that it is in sharing & expounding it (by the Spirit & with love) that we most effectively bring the Gospel into the lives of others. We must learn it, then TEACH it (D&C 11:21); (2) Along this same line—almost every section of the D&C starts with the words behold, hearken, and/or listen … its like He’s trying to "get our attention" & pleading with us to study/ponder/act on His words/counsel/advice/admonitions! So many of us take the scriptures too casually – we’ll read them but not really ponder them enough to truly understand and therefore be motivated enough to action! (3) and along this line, I feel, as members we hear certain "admonitions" so frequently that, in our own minds, they become "trite" (ex: pray, study the scriptures, keep the commandments, have FHE) … we may do these things and feel "content" … but not really put enough into the effort to truly reap all the blessings "available!"
